Men's Ride: Bike, Coffee & Catch up: In support of Beyond Blue
Lysterfield Park
08:30 – 12:30
This October LDTR will be hosting a mens ride, in support of Beyond Blue https://www.beyondblue.org.au/ riders are welcome to join in and support during this ride.
We all know the benefits that bikes bring us, LDTR will match all donations. We believe in people, bikes and friendships that this sport brings us.
Once the ride is finished join us for coffee and snacks and chats at the Orchard @ Montagues.
Can't join us on the day? no worries, you can still donate if you wish
There is no charge for this event but you MUST register: All Donations will be matched by LDTR.
All riders must have Aus Cycling insurance: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership

What you will need:
- A mountain bike in good working order
- An Australian safety standards approved helmet (No helmet - No Ride)

Lysty Chicks September Ride
Lysterfield Park

Join us for a relaxed social ride on Lysterfield's beautiful mountain bike trails. We ride in 3 groups, so regardless of your ability and fitness, this is the ride for you. All groups are no drop rides.
If the single trails are closed, we will do a mini mystery adventure at lysterfield park
Beginners:
Are you new to the sport, or wanting to get back into it after a few years away? Whether you’ve never ridden a mountain bike before, or you’re hooked on wide dirt trails but don’t have the confidence to consistently ride narrower trails with roots and tighter corners, the BEGINNERS group may be for you.
Intermediate Relaxed:
This ride is for those able to ride their MTB with confidence and would like to explore Lysty at a relaxed pace.
Can you ride a loop at Lysty? is your fitness at a level where you can ride 14-20k comfortably. Can you ride 60-70% of the features at Lysty? then this ride would suit you
Intermediate Confident:
Are you confident on 70-90% of the trails at Lysterfield? do you ride regularly at Lysty and at other MTB parks? would like like a bit a speed and alot of adventure? then this will be the group for you!
You must register for this event, QR scanning will be on site, your Vax cert will need to be sighted by our registration team. We will be following strict Covid safe guidelines. We will be running as separate groups, subject to ride leader availability.
Once finished join us for coffee and snacks and chats at the Orchard @ Montagues.

Lysty TrailBlazers September "spring has sprung" social

Lysty Trailblazers bouncing back into spring in September!
How good is a bit of sunshine?! :D
Spring is here, and that means all the best riding of the season is ahead of us. Burst into the riding season with some social pedal strokes at lysty and a couple of snags with some super keen MTB riders.
Groups will be limited to 20 kids per group (Parents are REQUIRED to ride with us - please let us know if this is an issue, we will do our best to accomodate)
This month we'll be running 2 groups, Trailblazers and Speedies
If you just want to head out for your own ride and come back for the BBQ after, this is fine! just let us know in the rego page so we can make sure we have enough to go around ;)
Blazers (intermediate) - slightly challenging ride mostly on single track, but taken at an easy pace. ~9km start to finish, usually takes about 1-1.5hrs
Speedies (intermediate fast) – A bit longer, and a bit more of a spirited ride. For competent riders only as it will include some of the black rated comm games trail. ~12km start to finish, usually done in around 1.5hrs
Time & Place:
Please enter via Horswood Road, drive through the gates and turn LEFT at the roundabout into the carpark, then follow this all the way to the loop at the end. We meet at the BBQ area nearest to the dam wall and skills park.
Check in from 0830 to 0850, for a 0900 ride out for all groups
Meet back up at the BBQ area around 10:30-11:00 for some snags, drinks, and catch up on the ride
Duration: (roughly 1.5hrs ride time, varies depending on group speed).
Cost: FREE - but you must register all participants (Parents and Guardians do not need to register)

All Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian - we are unable to take unsupervised children for this ride

Duration: 2 hours
Maximum 5 participants
Covers the key skills such as:
picking different line choices,
how to tackle trail obstacles,
advanced braking techniques,
body position for faster cornering, stronger climbing and more confident, stable descending.
Particular techniques explored on the day will depend on the interest and abilities of the riders present. Moderate level of fitness is recommended
Minimum Age: 15 years

Lysty TralBlazers August Social Ride

Lysty Trailblazers post race recovery ride
The schools race series has been a hoot so far, going from strength to strength with more keen kids at every race. Kids are racing hard, but we also need some time to chill out with a relaxed ride - come on down to lysterfield on sunday 28th august for a nice social ride and a BBQ.
