Another cruisy spin around Lysty :D

How wet and wild has the weather been?!

This months ride looks like it will likely be a firetrail affair only, unless we have some miraculously dry weather, the trails are going to be too wet and damaged to ride on, so we'll have to stick to the fire tracks. there might be some big puddles to jump in still too, did someone say "cannonball"?

This month we'll be running 3 groups, Blazers, Speedies and Joeys

Groups will be limited to 20 kids per group (Parents are REQUIRED to ride with us - please let us know if this is an issue, we will do our best to accomodate) If you just want to head out for your own ride and come back for the BBQ after, this is fine! just let us know so we can make sure we have enough to go around ;) 

Joeys (Beginners) - a relaxed ride around the lake on mostly fire trails, with a little easier singletrack to get used to riding bumpy stuff. ~6km start to finish (This months Joeys ride will be close to the usual ride, but will skip the singletrack.)

Blazers (intermediate) - more challenging ride mostly on single track, but taken at an easy pace. ~9km start to finish (this months Blazers will be a longer ride on firetrails, but still fairly relaxed.)

Speedies (intermediate fast) – A bit longer, and a bit more of a spirited ride. For competent riders only as it will include some of the black rated comm games trail. ~12km start to finish (this month's Speedies will tackle some of the infamous "Trent's Shortcuts" that are a tough slog for anyone - we'll have mars bars at the end for anyone that can make it up a shortcut!)

Time & Place:

Please enter via Horswood Road, drive through the gates and turn LEFT at the roundabout into the carpark, then follow this all the way to the BBQ/Lake carpark at the end. We meet at the BBQ area nearest to the dam wall and skills park.

Check in from 0830 to 0850, for a 0900 ride out for all groups

Meet back up at the BBQ area around 10:30 for some snags, drinks, and catch up on the ride

Duration: (roughly 1.5hrs ride time, varies depending on group speed).

Cost: FREE! - but you must register all participants (Parents and Guardians do not need to register)
