LDTR Social Ride - 18/07/2026
Lysterfield Park
09:00 – 12:00
Calling all social riders! Whether you're keen to meet like minded souls or simply discover new trails then we'd love to have you join LDTR on our home turf. We will take in as many of the trails as you can handle! As it's winter, this ride will be subject to the weather forecast - extreme cold or wet weather will result in cancellation, which we will advise you of by email and through our socials. This ride is open to everyone aged 18+ (anyone under this age is welcome to join but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and be able to ride with an intermediate level of fitness and skill). The meeting point will be at the Horswood Road parking trail head map. We encourage you to plan to meet us at 8:45am for a 9:00am roll out. We will be riding approximately 20 - 30km on blue trails (and black trails for those that are up for it!) so an intermediate level of fitness and skill will be required. Having said that, this will be a no drop ride so you can rest assured that you won't be left behind. You are also free to leave at any time if you have other commitments. If needed one of our ride leaders will be available to safely guide you out. Once finished join us for coffee, snacks and chats at the Orchard @ Montagues. What you will need: A mountain bike in good working order An Australian safety standards approved helmet Water, snacks, spare tube Freshly applied sunscreen There is no charge for this event but you MUST register. All riders must have Aus Cycling insurance: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership  Free 4 week trail is available: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial Photo credit: Sandy

Lysty Chicks July Ride
Lysterfield Park

Come along for a relaxed social ride on Lysterfield’s beautiful mountain bike trails. We ride in three groups, so no matter your fitness or experience, there’s a place for you. All groups are no‑drop, supportive, and social. If the singletrack is closed, we’ll switch to a fun mini mystery adventure within Lysterfield Park. We ride in all weather unless conditions are deemed unsafe. If a cancellation is required, you’ll be notified by email.   Foundation Group New to mountain biking? Returning after a break? Or just keen for a cruisy ride with a few challenges along the way? Expect 10–13 km, some hills, gentle features, plenty of breaks, and lots of laughs. Perfect for absolute beginners through to competent riders wanting a supportive, easygoing group.   Intermediate – Relaxed This group suits riders who are confident on their MTB and want to explore Lysty at a steady pace that gets the heart rate up, with short rests along the way. If you can comfortably ride 14–20 km, complete a full Lysty loop, and ride around 95% of the features, this is your ideal group.   Intermediate – Confident For riders who are comfortable on all Lysterfield trails and features, ride regularly, and enjoy a faster pace with minimal stopping.
