Winter is here but we're still riding!
Whether you're keen to meet like minded souls or simply discover new trails then we'd love to have you join LDTR on the winter friendly trails at Smith's Gully. We will take in as many of the trails as you can handle!

Once finished join us for coffee, snacks and chats at the Smith's Gully General Store.
What you will need:
A mountain bike in good working order
An Australian safety standards approved helmet

This May we are excited to extend our foundation skills program with a 2 part series that builds on our recent sessions on body position and braking, with the aim of having you riding smoother through the trails and having more fun. In week 1 we explore the concept of trail scanning, and take a look at the basics of when and where to use the neutral and ready positions, and when to apply the brakes to maximise stability and traction in typical trail scenarios such as corners and rough terrain.
In week 2, we build further on the concepts from week 1, and start to take a look at some basic manoeuvres that can help smooth out small obstacles and features on the trail, such as roll downs, front wheel lifts and ratcheting. This series is aimed at confident beginner / low intermediate riders who - have attended one of our recent sessions on body position and braking, and wish to build on those skills - Are comfortable riding round the blue trails at Lysterfield, but would like work towards attempting some of the features and/or improve their confidence through corners and rougher sections.
Tickets are not refundable or transferable and if you are unable to attend your ticket will be considered a donation to LDTR, thank you for your understanding.
