Let's check out Red Hill MTB Park!

As you may have heard the trail network at Lysterfield has suffered greatly at the hands of a severe storm on Tuesday. The result is the trails are unrideable, unsafe and the entire park has been officially closed by the land managers.

So this saturday's ride cannot take place on our regular trails and as a result we have decided to take our social ride to the trails at Red Hill bike park. We will meet up at 8:45 for a 9am rollout at the car park opposite Chain brain on Boundary Rd Dromana.

For anyone not familiar with the Red Hill trail network, a high level of skill and fitness is required compared to the trails at Lysterfield. There is mostly climbing and descending trails with not as much flatter terrain. We will of course try to seek out the trails with the general skill level of the group in mind.

We will be riding approximately 20 - 30km on blue trails (and black trails for those that are up for it!) so an intermediate level of fitness and skill will be required. Having said that, this will be a no drop ride so you can rest assured that you won't be left behind. You are also free to leave at any time if you have other commitments. If needed one of our ride leaders will be available to safely guide you out.

What you will need:

• A mountain bike in good working order
• An Australian safety standards approved helmet
• Water, snacks, spare tube
• Freshly applied sun screen

There is no charge for this event but you MUST register.
